Pre-TAP India was the home of the world’s oldest and most rapidly aging population, with nearly 40% of the world’s population over 70.

Perhaps no country was hit harder by the TAP pandemic than India. 273 million of the 677 million estimated worldwide deaths in India alone. Massive infrastructure, economic, and human life devastation marked the most regional instability in the region in modern history.

Early in the pandemic, emergency aid from the rapidly growing P.U.F. may have stinted the failing heart of an India on the verge of collapse, but in recent months, like the many temporally regressive surgeries now being reported, the cure may have been worse than the disease as the P.U.F. seems intent on using the claws of its medical and financial aid to rip off a chunk of India for itself, and the many emergency quarantine and research facilities it installed are now starting to look more and more like advance military bases.

Subhadra Nehru the deputy minister of home affairs on a conference call with the associated press from the clean island of Sri Lanka denounced the claims of a plan to move the official Capital of India to Sri Lanka, but secure duties have already been shifted from the threatened city of New Delhi.

Deputy minister Nehru addressed the twin crises in a statement to the AP:

Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Subhadra Nehru

“India faces an unprecedented attack from both outside its borders and from within. How deep the cancer goes has yet to be seen. Meanwhile India’s service and agriculture economies have ground to a halt in the face of overwhelming death and devastation, we are being held aloft if only barely by our booming Information Technology sector that has set the bar for adaptation and innovation in this worldwide crisis. India is doing its part, and in return the predatory opportunism of the P.U.F. was allowed to spread like wildfire.

India’s people, infected and negative alike are starving, our streets and hospitals are filled with the bodies of our beloved family members, and our borders have collapsed. But make no mistake, the Indian people are now and will continue to be under the divine guidance of the gods. We shall rise as Garuda, eternal foe of serpents, and India shall serve as a beacon of conscience, duty, humanism, justice, and peace in the face of evil.”
