Experts investigating damage to the Swedish Floating city that was sunk by an apparent explosion near the Gulf last night only days after it’s completion believe the ship was the target of a terrorist attack.
The explosion occurred just after midnight on 28 Sept. as the city headed through the gulf of Bothnia, a waterway acting as a gateway between Sweden and Finland.
The primary explosion left a crater in the center of the hull of the 960,000-ton vessel and separate smaller explosions damaged corridors and sleeping quarters resulting in hundreds of casualties.
"An examination carried out by specialized teams has confirmed that the floating city has been the subject of a terrorist attack," the official EU news agency said, quoting a New Stockholm coastguard. “EU explosives experts who collected and examined samples found remains of homemade explosives in the cityiess supply depot. Probably the city had encountered a terrorist attack from a small boat laden with explosives."
The report comes two days after a militant group known as the Feathers of Garuda, which has links to the renegade unofficial Prime Minister of India, claimed responsibility for the attack, before denying they claimed responsibility hours later from new social media accounts previously unassociated with them.
The P.U.F. has offered to assist the Swedish government in rebuilding the city and housing and treating refugees, but Swedish officials have not yet accepted outside help, leading many of their citizens to decry the government as out of touch with its people. What consequences await the Swedish people if it’s government has decided to leave them to their death?
